We recently headed to Carmel for Jordan & Rick's engagement session. As you can see from the images, these two have truly found their connection. We had a blast sharing the day with them and can't wait for their October wedding at Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club. The day started with a quick brunch at Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel before heading to the beach. While climbing around on the rocks recreating the proposal we were happy to see the ring didn't end up in the drink! Then it was off to Lover's Point in Monterey where we discovered a little family competition....Jordan is a big time Giants fan; Rick likes the Dodgers. But they settled their rivalry with a friendly golf competition to end the day. Congrats to you both....looking forward to October!

July 29, 2011Ever wonder if we like destination weddings? Nope -- we LOVE them! And we're providing an even greater experience for those brides and grooms who choose the Hawaiian Islands as their location. We've partnered with Creative Island Visions to bring you the ultimate beach wedding experience! In fact, we just wrapped up a week on the island and were honored to be a part of Ryan and Jodi's beautiful wedding on the shores next to the Wailea Marriott. Here's a sneak peek at some of the images from the day. Stay tuned for more information regarding opportunities and collaborations between MJP and CIV. If you or someone you know is considering a destination wedding or special event, let us help you create unforgettable memories!

My wife, Barbara, and I recently enjoyed a relaxing trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, and one of our must-do items was to get to the top of Mauna Kea volcano. It's a dormant volcano that just happens to be the highest point in the state of Hawaii -- significantly taller than Mount Everest I might add. The summit of Mauna Kea hosts the world's largest astronomical observatory, with telescopes operated by astronomers from eleven countries (They make for pretty cool photo subjects, too). As you might imagine, the views are gorgeous and the sky is as crisp and clean as the air. We arrived in
