I’m Doug Morgan, the Morgan in Morgan/James.  Oh, and there is no James.  Never has been.  But that’s a long story.  I was a CPA and corporate CFO in another era.  I’ve always had an interest in photography, mostly an intrigue with light and how it can shape a scene.  I even studied photography in college while getting my business degree.  So, when I retired from the business world (well almost, as I still teach at the local university) around the turn of the century, I purchased my first digital camera (which is now a paper weight) and never looked back.

I have shot covers for magazines, head shots for artistic and corporate use, a slew of weddings with guest lists ranging from 20 guests to over 600 guests in all types of venues, both indoors and out, and in all types of weather.  I have done commercial photography, both advertising and product.  And for my own portfolio a bit of landscape.  And to round out the photography addiction I provide classes and training to other photographers wanting to develop their photography skills.

When I’m not doing and talking about photography I like to spend time with my wife of almost 30 years (yep, I’m getting up there in age).  We hike, scuba dive, ride motorcycles, do CrossFit, and visit our kids who both live in southern California.
